I have the choice to get any of the three. NOT all three. lol

I'm really on the fence.
I typically like Marshall tones.
Like music /tones Sabbath, AIC, Audioslave, DIO, Down,Lynch/Dokken, Old Metallica, VH. Tool, Perfect Circle, Ozzy etc

Some thoughts.
JSX versitile, 3 chan, takes pedals, good master
GH100 very loud, one channel, boost function.
Mark III very flexibel, EQ. Covers old Metallica well

Any advise would be appreciated

ouch, thats a hard choice.

two of those amplifiers i would own if i could, the III and the GH100. we have simillar tastes

the laney clean sounds amazing. its so silk-like. especially the older models. they take pedals great. if you are great with a volume knob then this amplifier has so many tones available its not even funny. you could make it a 2 channel amplifier easily with a pedal and an on/off switch - simple pot.

the mesa lead tones sound great though - very well balanced.

FWIW, i would choose the mesa. after a while i would believe the laney tone would get old to me. its a tone monster, but definately something you would have to play and experience for yourself first and see how you respond to it as a player and with its limited features. its great and has alot of possibility, but that really depends on your speakers, volume you play at, guitar, player yourself, etc.

mesa would also fit the amplifiers that i own better as not being out in left field, but would compliment my tone and be something i could dub solo's with what i own. if you are fine with sharing an EQ with the lead/clean channel, then its definately worth thinking about. ive also heard alot of tones that could be coaxed out of them, no two sound exactly the same.

i will say that the laney build quality is really good......like i said if it was me i would own both right now if i could. but the mesa would be the one i would choose only because of what it does to compliment my tone and not stand out from it by itself - which could or could not be your case.

thats a tough list, but thats my opinion.
