Just got both my Ceres and PA50 this afternoon! I'm running the Ceres into the PA50 which is going into my Orange PPC412. I have the PA50 set at 8 ohms. I'm getting some good tones so far but I feel I can do a lot better. For the blue channel (rhythm) can you give me some examples on where to start in order to dial in a good thrash metal sound?

Here's a picture of my settings. Bright is up, feel is down and mode is in the middle.

Did you change the speakers in the cab? I was under the impression that most Orange cabs were 16 ohms.
Anyways, the Ceres is super cool. I played mine mainly with a Peavey Classic Series 60 watt mono tube power amp. It only had volume. Sounded bad ass. Your PA50 should sound even more bad ass. For thrashy tones I say start with as little gain as possible and then slightly adjust from there. From what I remember, my favorite thrash tones weren’t super saturated. I have a few videos on YT of my Ceres in different configurations.

Thanks. Can you post a link if you are allowed to? Also, I believe you are right that my cab is 16 ohms. Should I switch the ohms on the power amp to 16 then vs 8? Sorry for the dumb questions but I don't wanna f anything up.

I put my NFB at around 10-11o'clock. Then Mids at 3 or 4, treble at 6.

I'm getting there with dialing it in! The only thing that I can't dial in is the crunch mode. Can I run an SD 805 in front of the Ceres? I feel that the crunch channel needs a little kick in the butt.

I would try it. I regret not trying my 808 when i had mine. It hated the grind pedal, so i scrapped it in favor of my rectifier/grind combo.
