I get a pop on my CCV when I turn on any of the FX on my board that have a button style switch. Some stuff is in the loop and some in the front of the amp and they all do it. They're all powered by a Pedal Power 2 Plus. Any ideas how to elimimate this before I go nuts?

Here's my board...pretty simple.

Try powering the pedals that go in front of your amp using a different power supply than the pedals in your loop. If you have all of the AC adaptors, just use those for a quick test. Technically, it shouldn't matter, as your PP2+ AC sends are all isolated. You just never know, though.....

I tried an adapter on one pedal and it didn't make a difference.

Hope you get it figured out, thought you were selling the el cap?

I am. It's a picture I already had so I used it.

Doesn't pop with the Boss Chorus? If not maybe it has something to do with true bypass vs. buffered. Looks like the only pedal on the board that's not true bypass would be the Boss, but then again, I'm sure that's modded somehow!

You can hear it turn on but it's not a problem at all. I know Boss has that silent switching system on their pedal but who knows.

I think that has something to do with it. I had pop on flashback in true bypass and put it in buffer and it was gone.

This is a common drawback to some true bypass pedals. I believe it can be modded not to do such. (I think Analogman does it?)

Problem is every pedal pops except the chorus.

Do u only notice a pop when using with the CCv or is it noticed on other amps also?

Only other amp I have here to try it on is my Blackstar HT5. Does that qualify as an amp?

Yeah, sure it does! ;) try it out with the blackstar when u get time and see if u notice any pop noise with your board? Have any other CCv owners noticed anything similiar?

The chorus isnt true bypass. I think your other stuff is.
I think there is a way to set the el cap to buffer,if there is and it stops the pop then thats probably the ticket.

Well, I tried my board through my HT-5 and I still get the pop through my tuner and the Timmy which are through the front of the amp but not the Flashback or chorus which are in the loop.

I had the same problem when I switched from rack to all pedals. But it only pop one time after I fired everything up. So what I did while my amp was warming up on standby I clicked every button on and of once. Didn't solve anything but at least I didn't hear it with the rig fired up. ..

Mine never stops. I'm going to pull the pedals today and dissect.

Make sure you're dip switches are set right on the Flashback. Try setting it up with the buffer engaged. Also didn't you have a T1M buffer at one time? Try that in the loop if you have it. Note sure on the CCv but can the loop be set series or parallel?
