Need help on a trade. EBMM EVH

I've replaced the saddles in both of mine with StringSavers. I kept the old ones for vintage value sake, but they're pitted and not nearly as good as String Savers.

How did you get String Saver saddles that fit the Gotoh EVH bridge?
AFAIK they only do a regular Floyd replacement

I'll see if I have the package still, but they fit just fine and look the same too.

You’re being sold a duck
Natural is far more prevalent than unfaded purple - if it hasn’t faded by now, it never will
Natural is also the least popular colour for buyers, which may be why there are less of them, and will command about the same price as a faded purple. Unfaded purple is hard to find - I know, as I took many years to track one down
Stick with yours

Thanks man, i think this sums it up. I will keep my purple, but that neck on the natural is crazy cool. Mine has less figuring.

I also have an amber one. I will try and buy it from him, 3 is better than 2!!!!
You're welcome
I've been paying attention to the market on these for a long time
having had many, I am now down to one UF purple flame
a heavily quilted amber is the only other one I'd like to have, so you have the perfect pairing IMO

btw, a warning to all potential owners is that there is no support for these from the manufacturer
I tried to source bridge saddles and came up without a solution

Here is my amber one. The figuring is pretty nice on it.

Pretty sweet. Like a hybrid quilt & flame.

The original saddles being slightly offset from the mounting bolt is the problem for drop-in replacements.
The regular Gotoh Floyd saddles look the same, without the offset.

Yes sir, been wanting this one for a while. Popped up last summer, 5 hour drive from me. Jumped in the truck and took off within 5 minutes!!!! Had it in my hands 4h55 minutes later!!!!!! Lol

She is a dream guitar of mine. Will keep this for a while!!!! As with my purple.... Thanks to you guys. Almost went ahead with this trade. Well, one aint better than the other honestly, that natural is pretty bad ass looking. IMO.

Both are amazing. But mine has MY history behind it wich i find makes it more special.

Thanks again for the chats guys.

Here's my first one around 1993. I sold it to a buddy in Germany and still get to play it when I visit him once in a while.

God damn dude, you look just like me when i was 20-21 years old!!!!! Fuck. Lollol.

These are bad ass guitars, they have mojo or something, when i see pics of them they make me tingle. Instant classic me thinks. In 30 years they should be 59 burst epicness.

And my blue one about 13 years ago. This one is going in my coffin with me.

In an aside, I've owned a bunch of these, Axis, Wolfgangs, both Peavey and Fender, etc. The EBMM EVH simply has a different kind of mojo. No matter what other guitars you have or have fondled, when you hold a real EBMM EVH, you know it's just something different. No slam on the others, but this guitar is simply special. You can't go wrong with any of them. The quality control of the builds was just through the roof great. Grab whichever one speaks to you, but everyone should own one. They are just special guitars that nothing else touches. And they'll never be made again.

Yup, exactly my thoughts. They really are special guitars, they feel like no other. Though i own the Peavey and the EVH Wolf's too and i find they play really good also, like really good. I use mine all the time, especially my amber Peavey. That one just has something, my favorite. I use my EVH's right now with my band and they feel really good, super broken in, loose, slinky. But sound really tight and warm, they cut.

Here they are, best playing guitars i tried to date, all of them.

Keep the one u have and wait for the natural quilt. I seen them and they had me wanting one. Those plain quilted ones are sick. I didn't know they were rarer...good luck!

They do look sick, i will for sure try and grab it. But the guy seems to only want to trade.

Well see how it goes.

No way. That one sucks, u need a plain quilt, those are killer.

This thread has me jonesing for an Amber one..I have seen a few but never bought one..yet.

Yeah i agree on the quilt, but this one does not suck, imo, it has it's own thing going. As all of them do. The neck is awesome.
