I need new power tubes for both of my VTM60’s. One has the original power tubes that started acting up last year so I stopped playing it. Just tried playing it a few minutes ago and one tube started going nuclear.
My other VTM60 that I put a new pair of JJ 6L6GC’s in 2022 started acting up today and blew a fuse. By acting up I mean when I take it off stand by it sounds staticy little or no sound comes through.
So I’m gonna order a new pair for each. In the past with my VTM s I just put the new pair in and checked the bias with my probe just to see what they are running at and if they are matched pretty close.
Well the amps are completely stock and close to 40 years old now. What should I replace?
