FWIW, I use the E530 as a practice amp with the built-in mini power amp ... I hook it to the speaker of a crappy Ibanez TB15 and it's such a nice practice amp (despite the crappy "cab") ... plenty of loudness for bedroom playing, and it doubles as preamp for "real" playing, plus it has lots of quite useful features for the studio .... BTW, the bypass preamp function allows me to use the mini power amp with my peavey rockmaster pre as well. I highly recommend it for a practice-appartment-bedroom amp.

Hey,
I'm new to this forum and am looking for a small tube amp, pre amp+power amp, or maybe an Axe Fx for my apartment.

Save yourself a load of $$$ and get a Fender Mustang.....................that's what I use. I preferred it over a Line6 HD300 and Peavey Vypyr that I had at the same time. The HT-5 is really cool, but the Mustang sounds better at VERY low volume.
