70s cab. Original greenbacks replaced with Marshall labeled G12-65s. Are those speakers any good?

They would really have to piss me off to not grab it for 300. You could sell the speakers and get the cab almost or totally free. Your cash but I know how it is. I walked out of gc Sunday when they acted like idiots. I can buy what they had off amazon and have it at my house in 2-3 days. I rarely go into there but had a simple thing I wanted to grab and had a few gift cards hanging around. They still managed to screw up. Gc just sucks

they wouldn’t let me test it. Speakers could have been blown. I don’t get it. They let me take the back off to look at speakers but wouldn’t let my try it.

You are not far off. A buddy of mine owns a pawnshop and says 70% of his income is from repeat customers that pawn the same stuff every month and then buy it back. His store used to be a music store. Crazy economy

Yeah, today was crazy. About 20 people in line floating checks for high interest payday loans. Another guy selling his coat another guy smelled like he shit and pissed himself trying to pawn and old school CRT television, and I wanted to give them money.

The Marshall labeled 65s are very bright, compared to the early 80s 65s. I have a pair mixed with 2 reissues in an 800 cab. Great speakers with a Marshall.

Had them in a 20th anniv Marshall cab (1982 I think) .. loved them.

It is a larger dust cap and Marshall labelled. I will let you know on the tone soon

The late 70s cabs kept the old tags(100,120w) but Marshall was putting in either 65s or G12 80s instead of GBs. No more black backs sometime in 78.
