Here are a few pics of my old Suhr... I took these pics when I sold it. The 2nd pic is what the top really looked like. It's got the matching headstock that the one in the OP should have
You're going to get many different answers to this one. Personally, I can't stand flame and/or binding anywhere on any guitar. I don't mind quilt as much as long as there's no binding. I'm also not a fan of the covered pups. And I DO like the black headstock MUCH mbetter than the matching flame.
I love the first one, don't care for the second one, and would absolutely die for that third one. I'm not a big fan of the more modern shape of the second one.
Matt had a H/S Koa Suhr a few months back that I heavily considered buying but a friend scooped it up before I made a stupid decision
If you want an honest opinion, I think it's ugly as sin. Steve, sah5150 has or had one like that and I said the same thing, I think he got upset with me. If you want an honest opinion, that's how I feel. If you like it then my opinion doesn't matter.

for me I prefer quilts and matching head stocks. If I am going to lay down that kind of jack. In the end if it gives you wood, then its the wood for you. Dont think there is a right or wrong about it. If you are looking for someone to help justify the purchase and you are on the fence right now then Ill venture a guess you might not be happy a few months down the road. If it doesnt jump out at you then I would say hold off till you find something that does. If you got the jack to flip it a few months down the road and take a hit for it then no big deal but I think if that was the case you would have already been all over it. Ill say in the end might be better waiting til something else comes down the line.
