I'll take a sometimes cranky Carl posting clips over what has replaced him here. Guy can play and gets cool tones. He also flips almost as much gear as any other lunatics out there so we hear about and then hear lots of cool stuff.

I been watching your vids...and for my deaf ear the JVM satch sounded great.
Made me want to get one for sure. Didnt care for the YJM marshall at all. Sounded too Bright and 'edgy'?

Both long gone. Satch JVM was fun for a while but got tired of the character of the distortion.

Been bouncing back and forth between Marshall ... Diezel.....and Modded Mesa.
The Vh4 just brang all the goods. Played every modded Marshall under the sun....well give or take a 2.
And that Modded Recto seems to be a nice blend of all of them. I posted bunch of crap clips but nothing captures how its in person. Had a DAR Forzza proto at my place and damn if it didnt fullfill the tones.

Carl's been around close to as long as dirt. He can be extremely helpful, when he wants to be.

I've been here since RT started, not in the royalty club, but been here since the start. My posting dropped off several years ago. Not sure the last time I started a thread? Shit, I got a Friedman and never even did a NAD. Mostly, I'm not into the "in" gear. I'm not a gear flipper either. Being reasonable and not overly opinionated, I find I don't have a lot to say anymore

IMO, the days of the Guitar Forum are over. Looking at this place, you'd think there were 3-4 amps worth talking about. You got guys, who can't play for shit, doing amp reviews, as if they are some kind of sage. You got shills (Pete Thorn) who's only interest is to cross-post as many shill reviews as possible. Shit gets old real fast.
You even got a new forum (Groomed COCK-Gobblers) where they expand on the 2 amp brands. It's a fucking joke.
