I have the same cab. It's not lacking lows at all.

Right, and you've got what appears to be the silver/ground wire run to the + terminal, and the gold wire running to the -/neg terminal. Swap them, because that makes them out of phase, and lacking bass.JimmyDoomsday":1rz2xe7r said:in that enlarged photo; bottom speaker - left side is positive. top speaker - right side is positive.

Eh, it happens even to us old timers. I did it just two weeks back on a 2x12 because I was leaning over the front of the cab looking at it upside down. Played two chords and went "Damnit!", reversed the two offending wires, and woohoo, it's fixed.
It's a simple mistake from going to fast, I can understand why it happened at Avatar, too.
And that's why I use red/black wire, you can easily see if you've screwed the pooch on the wiring. LOL
That will be $140 dollars plus tax.JimmyDoomsday":1sfbdbkd said:the operation was a success! thank god for push-on connections - no soldering required lol (though i can imagine i'll have to check these regularly to make sure they don't vibrate themselves right off the terminals).
thanks again to all who helped!

I usually crimp the connectors first, then hold the speaker fiber board firmly with one hand, then slide the connectors on so they have a tight fit when done.
Either way works. Glad to hear you got your wiring sorted and the bigger response back.![]()
