New Ace Frehley

I always loved Ace, but this sucks.
Just dragging, nothing lively, suits his personality.
 
This is an actual new release? It sounds like a demo. His last few studio records sounded pretty great, sonically. I don’t mind the song at all. Christ! A guy who is 67 is rockin’ out still and has more attitude than kids who are 27 pretending to be him. Love Ace. Where Paul and Gene were very calculating in what they wrote and they wrote some great songs, Ace is a lot more genuine in his writing to me.
 
Life long Ace lover, that’s not his best work. Ace has always been hit or miss, that’s a big miss. His solo album from the Kiss Days is awesome.

Came from outer space is a great tune though. :rock:
 
Rip it Out is awesome ! New York Groove, Ozone, Speedin Back to My Baby, and especially Fractured Mirror are all killer !
 
If this didn't have the Ace Frehley name attached to it & was a new artist, 99% of the people here would say it was a piece of crap & sounded like a weak demo.

I love my heroes too & give them a pass when they put out substandard material, but this is pretty mediocre at best.

Maybe the other stuff will be better

This is not great. I agree it sounds like the demo version of something coming on a proper album. Still Ace though and i don't hate it. The stuff on Space Invader and Analmoly was pretty excellent and better anything KISS has released in ages. I'll hold out hope for the rest of this album.

Dude I loved Analmoly!! Really great tone. Good songs with hooks.
I put it up there with his ‘Kiss’ solo album.
Think he was using A JCM 900 and a Peavey 6505.

Yeah all around the production was killer on that album.

I didn't know that. Surprised to hear he used anything but a Marshall. Guess he was going for more gain.
