Hey guys, I wanted to announce a killer new project I’m working on. I’ve recently teamed up with Artist Series Guitar and we’re launching a new 2 channel high gain amp. We’ll be rolling it out at Winter NAMM, and check this out: the amp will be priced at $999!
The amp will run 5 12AX7’s in the preamp and a quad of 6L6GC’s in the power amp for 100 watts. 2 channels geared to offer brutal high gain as well as gorgeous clean tones (yes, a GOOD clean channel!), a tube buffered effects loop, multi-tap output, and all around badass-ness.
So the golden question is probably, “what will it sound like?” The high gain channel is based around the channel 2 lead mode on the CEC Brigand, but modified for more available gain. It will be RUTHLESS. The clean channel is designed to sound similar to a CEC Suckerpunch15 dialed back clean.
I am really stoked about what’s in store. We’ve got some really cool stuff in the works in the way of working with some awesome bands on ASG’s current roster. Prototyping is beginning now, and we’ll be chronicling the development of this project on the brand new Facebook page we just put up yesterday. Head over and like it if you’re interested in following along!
