GAWD DANG!!!!! Dude more than the fact that I LOVE the tone is the fact that you use that tone and play Funky\Groovy melodic lines.

Hahahahahah I didn’t realize it was a Sevendust song and as soon as the riff started I thought “I think there’s a Sevendust song that starts very similar…..” then I heard Lajon start singing.

These guys are one of my all time favorites for just the Animosity album alone, that album is a benchmark for heavier than drop C tones and Clint’s Mark IV tones……fucking a, man. I wish he’d bring that amp back. I always check out their new albums but they rarely get more than a few plays for me, which is a bummer.

It’s not so much their fault, it’s because so many shitty bands ripped off their thing 25 years ago and got huge in the process, the hard rock radio world has basically been littered with Sevendust copy cats putting out watered down bullshit versions of Sevendust songs that it’s hard not to hear them outside of that context now.

Those are some of the greatest dudes I’ve ever met, Clint in particular played a big role in me getting my act together with drinking in my late 20’s, dude sent me a lot of supportive messages when I was starting the process of unfucking myself. And Lajon gave me free tickets to a show when I was broke as a joke back in the day, would not take no for an answer. Great fucking dudes.

That's awesome to hear. I knew him pre Sevendust days and did a couple shows with his old band and was a pretty big fan as well. I was always happy he and most of the other guys went places. They are talented and nice guys.

Was it Steel Rain or something like that? I heard some of their stuff a long time ago and remember thinking it was pretty good. That dude is such a great fucking songwriter, man. The least these rip off bands can do is hire him to write for them!

Still Rain. They were unbelievable live. It was a crime they never got signed. They seemed a little ahead of their time market wise. It seemed to work out for the guys anyway.

As already said above... Great guys and I dig seeing and hearing them still inspired and putting out solid damn tunes. Digging the melody in this one... nice chorus. Will be grabbing this album for sure and my bet is that I, along with my neighbors, will be enjoying. And with all the shows, miles, wear and tear.... they still put on a helluva show. Much respect to them.

One of my closest friends was in this band for a period of time, so I really want to like what they do...But I just can't seem to get into them. "Soulful" vocal stylings don't work well in metal / heavy music for me.
