From another forum.....

Hello everybody..
Some of you may remember me..I've been kinda busy for a long time but i used to be a lot in here..
So..The "old" members know that i have been working on my solo album for some time now..took a long break and now i'm about to finish it..So i have some stuff i'd like to share with you..

This one is a melodic song called "Soulmates"..(yes..its for a girl..)
This is a rough mix and captures only about 50% of the final thing on the cd..Just a first mix..The mastering will take place on Sterling sound when its done..
No shreding inside..Just melody..I hope you like it..
Please tell me what you think of it..I'd like to know what i'm doing right or wrong here..
Will be posting more stuff soon..Technical and all..But let's start with this one..

note:to enjoy it crank the volume a bit up..wont sound that good on low volumes..

Recorded with various guitars and my good ol' Diezel modded VH4...BTW..Peter ROCKS!

Damn his playing is so smooth and his vibrato's soooo great! The song was beautiful and tone was nice. There was some wicked wahwah usage there too. Thanks for the post, Scott!

Hehe..Scott is too fast for me.. :) Thanks mate..
As i told him,i had to format a couple of times due to recording program mess and i lost my way to these parts..
But i'm happy to be here again..
So..Hope you enjoy the song...
And as Scott told me a lot of the "old friends" are around here more than HC..I'll be happy to talk to you all again..

There is no secret that Alex is one of my top 5 guitarists bar none so no problem spreading the wealth Jaakko!

Good to have you back, Alex!!!
How are things going? I hope everything's well! What do you have in your rig nowadays? Do you still play Enigma guitars? Your formerly owned Triaxis has been treating me very well. I'm just gonna reverse the phat mod on the Ld1R in the near future and see how it sounds w/o the mod. My amp rig's all Mesa nowadays for some reason. :D

Hi man, nice to hear you're making new music Alex. There was a one song I heard from you or your band a year or two ago after the Frankfurt messe and I'd swear there was some Pekka Pohjola inspirations (my fav composer, CD's I gave to you and Olaf) in there too, some great bass lines and think there was piano also through the mix, gotta if I can find it from my CD archives.

Peter's VH4 sounds Awesome!!! :thumbsup: I am really glad that Alex has a VH4 again, IMO his sig amp.

The album will probably be ready in a month give or take..Then about a week for the mastering..
What i dont know is what's going to happens after that with the whole label thing..
Hopefully it'll be out soon..I'l keep you posted..

Hey Alex, Always loved your playing man, very fluid and expressive, and you dont seem to pull speed out just for speeds sake, it always seems to say something.
Great stuff man, cant wait to hear the whole project
