I know almost nothing about Bogner amps, but I DO know that you've got some kickass tone goin' on there.

I love the Shiva, but the 5153 just slipped right into being my favorite high gainer yet. I can see a Mark V or VII taking that spot due to legit multiple channels, but for what I got this head for, I’ll barely be using clean.

Got it set up with my FM9 in 4CM w/ the FM9 handling channel changes and every amp should have MIDI on it at this point. That was a breeze to program, too. Definitely the quickest I’ve ever decided “This is going to be my live rig” without going through multiple combinations of gear.

@RevDrucifer if you want to take it a step further, throw a 12AU7 (or 12AY7, I forgot) in V3, while leaving the other tubes stock.
It will seriously change the red channel to something Gary Moore-ish. You will lose the thumping chugs though, so only do this if you want to make it more of a hard rock machine, opposed to modern metal.

For my tastes, the amp is a bit too much on the bright side, so I never run the Presence over 11 'o clock, even with a thicker/smoother sounding cab.

Oh, I got this specifically for thumping chugging, but it’s always good to have an idea of how different preamp tubes change things up and I appreciate the info!! I’ve got the Shiva for the non-chug tones!
