Just picked up an Anderson Hollow Drop Top a few weeks ago in a trade. Quilted maple top over mahogany with a trans-amber burst finish. I'm a big fan of P90 pickups which is why I wanted to check this one out. The 2 and 4 positions sound very stratty sounding and the neck and bridge together touch on some tele spank. The bridge alone is a flamethrower...very hot P90 tones (rivals most humbuckers but with a more open, dynamic sound and response), while the neck sounds more traditional. After a few rehearsals and a gig, I'm impressed...it's a very big sounding guitar and plays like butter. The v-trem stays in tune amazingly well too and I haven't even done my typical "tweaks" yet. Anderson simply builds a great instrument.

Man, one of the neat touches is the sculpting on the back of the lower cutaway. Looks like a hell of a guitar, enjoy!

great guitar, but I think I would have gone with humbuckers. but, I know you got it in a trade. these guitars are really nice!!!

I already have a bunch of humbucker equipped guitars...the P90s were part of the attraction.

Congrats on the NGD!!! It looks like my old one. With the right amp the bridge PU can get pretty brown sounding… It's a fun one for sure.

that's how I felt with my new Raven as well. Good to have diversity. If I could only have one guitar I would go with humbuckers. Since I am in a position to have more than one I would prefer to have different kinds of guitars instead of five that are far too similar.

Beautiful. Of all the guitars that have come and gone over the years, my Olympic White Anderson strat is the one I miss most. Great guitars.

Cool guitar. Used to have a '67 SG Special with a good set of P90's, hated the neck but it sounded great. Bet that one sounds good.

How bout a clip tuned to C playing some death metal?
