Just picked up an Anderson Hollow Drop Top a few weeks ago in a trade. Quilted maple top over mahogany with a trans-amber burst finish. I'm a big fan of P90 pickups which is why I wanted to check this one out. The 2 and 4 positions sound very stratty sounding and the neck and bridge together touch on some tele spank. The bridge alone is a flamethrower...very hot P90 tones (rivals most humbuckers but with a more open, dynamic sound and response), while the neck sounds more traditional. After a few rehearsals and a gig, I'm impressed...it's a very big sounding guitar and plays like butter. The v-trem stays in tune amazingly well too and I haven't even done my typical "tweaks" yet. Anderson simply builds a great instrument.
