New bass week - Suhr

This year I went down a glorious rabbit hole pursuing roasted maple necks.

Just after scoring a great deal on a suhr bass with roasted maple, I found an even better deal on another one.

Sometimes, you have to do crazy things. While I’ll likely sell one of these very very soon, the honeymoon is awesomely thunderous.

That's awesome! It sounds like you've had quite a successful bass-hunting adventure this week. Roasted maple necks have such a distinct look and feel, and getting two Suhr basses is definitely an exciting find. Enjoy the honeymoon phase with both, and when you're ready to part with one, I’m sure it’ll find a great new home. The thunderous sound must be amazing! I returned one of them, absolutely no need to have both.

They are awesome! The roasted maple, stainless steel Fretz, they’ve probably been plekked. I am so happy with this thing.

Not sure how to describe it. Compared to the bongo I've had for 10 years, this is more 'immediate' and percussive.
