I think so!!
Who is she???

sabbath is by far my favorite band,..i have seen them 7 times...in the summer of 1980 i saw sabbath on the heaven and hell tour,..it was the best of iommi i have ever heard,..no smile even came close to his face..he was pissed and was pulling heavyness out of his sg all night...the attitude he got across to the audience was incredible...3 weeks later ozzy came to town on the blizzard of oz tour...during "mr.crowley" randy did a very hendrix-esque solo...pretty cool summer.

little side note...a friend of mine says he is a big sabbath fan,...but he hates the ozzy era,...!!..to me thius is blasphemy!...the mid ozzy ear is untouchable in my eyes..(sabbath bloody sabbath, volume 4 & sabotage)..

after seeing a couple of the comments on this post i was wondering what everyones favorite sabbath era was.

My fav by far is H&H / Mob Rules era... 1980-82 or so.

Ian Gillan sounded GREAT on the Born Again tour !!!

I love Ozzy too, but mostly on his own after his Sabbath years.

Fav Sabbath era? When I think of Sabbath, the '70-72 time period is what I think of. The Dio era was cool, but its more of an early 80's style sound rather than what I consider the "original Sabbath sound". Style wise I prefer that earlier style. It was more of a "new" thing, a more drastic change from what was going on in the music world. The Dio era was a progression of that sound moving into the 80's metal/rock- not quite as ground breaking. That's my take on it. Keep in mind that I wasn't listening to the early stuff when it came out cause I wasn't born yet   So my reasoning doesn't hold much weight  :D

Man,they just bring it on this dont they. How does Iommi keep comming up with those riffs? And Dio sounds awesome.

+1 here!!! btw, vchizzle has some really good points.the early 70's Sabbath was more groundbreaking & different than what was going on in the music world,at the time,so i will give credit where it's due.the ozzy-sabbath era was excellent, but i preferred the HEAVEN & HELL/MOB RULES/BORN AGAIN era best as i feel the band's music was much heavier(and yes more modern,if you will)plus it was darker & more evil! seemed to "go" better with my baby-sacrifices and goats-blood drinking :scared:   ...hey,i was 14 years old at the time

I will say though that Tony's guitar playing is better in the Dio era. Which should be expected since its 10 years later. His tone and solo on this new tune are GREAT.

yeah,i'd say Tony's guitar playing was even better with the Dio Years! the DEHUMANIZER album was great too, imo.i loved the song "I".the band did a killer live version of the song, last time they toured

I'm thinking I might pick up the "Live at Radio City" CD/DVD from the '07 tour. The samples on iTunes sound killer but I think I need the actual CD and DVD for this one.
