Actually it's been several days, but I've been too busy to say much. Picked up a few books to gain a better understanding of the physics and engineering behind guitar stuff, hopefully to better inform my DIY efforts.

I’m afraid to touch it. I bought some solder wick so I think I’m just gonna drink some shine and get to work. How hard could it be right?

I meant testing the old switch, but I suppose replacing it accomplishes similar. If it's like my ValveKing, the switch is gonna have oodles of caterpillar legs that need desoldering. Also, the board may not be the highest quality making it easier to damage. Would recommend testing the old switch first with a meter before trying to replace it.
But, if you do decide to replace it, I'd suggest clipping the legs of the old switch and removing it, leaving just the legs soldered into the board, and then going to each leg with the iron and using tweezers to remove it once the solder is molten. Afterwards cleaning up gently with wick as needed. @FourT6and2 and @glpg80 may have other suggestions too. It's one of these switches right?
The legs might be hard to get at it looks like.

I purchased a new switch for it because the one in there now just feels different than the other. It’s a dual push button switch so it’s kind of odd. Not sure why that would be the problem because I always used the foot switch but it won’t go into channel 3. No easy way to diagnose it. At least for me. But I have my map gas and aluminum welding rods ready to go to install the switch. Wish me luck…Get that thing running man. Killer amps

Yup that’s it. I’ll get it. I have my compressor set to 130 psi and the air chisel is oiled and ready to go. I have a new switch but I don’t know how that could be the problem..unless it has to run in conjunction with the foot switch. Like I said before I noticed a volume drop. Then later on I noticed the foot switch would not act right and the amp will not go into channel 3. Like I said the channel switch just feels different than the other one. My neighbor who plays some pointed that out to me actually.

Sorry for the thread hijack btw. You would have to pull the board to do this. That’s the only way I see it happening.

I assume you're joking...
If it's like my valveking, they do interact, though I'd have to check the schematics again. Once I forgot to re-connect the footswitch jack to the rest of the VK's circuitry, and that prevented me from being able to switch outta the clean channel with the amp's push-buttons. Thought I had busted things until I noticed. It's possible something similar is happening here.
No worries, I started this thread to start conversation in this general direction, not to just show off new books. And yeah, you're gonna have to pull the board I think.
