New cab any way to tell what the impedance is?

Hi all, I just got myself a Bogner Ubercab to play with my Herbert, it's a used model and I am dying to try it out, but I want to be 100% sure what impedance the cab is rated at so I can be sure I won't damage my Herbert. I checked out the specs on the Bogner home page and found the following statement:

Standard all 4x12 cabinets use 16 ohm speakers wired to a total impedance of 16 ohms. Please note before mid 2009 the Ubercab came standard at 8 ohm total impedance.

Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way to check the impedance using a digital multimeter?

Hi, youre fine with a multimeter as long as it can measure resistance. Plug a cable in the cab, set you meter to ohms and use the other jack of the cable to measure. If I remember correctly you won't get a clear reading but you should be able to tell if its 8 or 16 ohms.
