Sweet :)

I have an old Red Bear cab made of Russian Birch. It's from the early 90s.

Hell yes! Looks awesome. Bet it sounds even better. Congrats man!

I need to try a wizard

there is one for sale in the classifieds. I would jump on it if I were you.

Maybe down the road, my Butterslax stack has cured my impulsive GaS for now.
Talk about pummeling lowend

I bought one of these of Member Bushkey a while back and was surprised how much extra work they put into their cabinets like Flush mounted handles , bullet proof jack plates, The only thing that threw me off was the odd square or diamond shaped screw heads they used for the fasteners. I've never seen that before mayebe its a Canadian thing.

Its a Roberston screwdriver you can get at Sears in two sizes. Much much better than phillips head which will strip eventually. The head is designed for fastening and unfastening multi use screws without issue.

They're the bomb, yo...

Mine has 70's g12m 25w blackbacks and g12h30 in x pattern. And yeah, they weigh a ton.

Which is your favorite rig in that pic?

you diggin the H75s? i have been wanting to try those for some time now. i typically love V30s, but since i have 2 cabs with them... i have a KSR 4x12 being built with all H75s...

love that setup bro, good stuff!

Nice. I had that speaker combo in my Splawn cab and it sounded great with my MTL. I have Scumback M75s over v30s in my Wizard cab that I like a little more. Splawn cab now has Scumback J75s over v30s that sounds pretty killer too.

-is it just me or is the Wizard cab smaller than the Bogner & Friedman cabs?

How would you guys compare the sound of the wizard cabs to the Bogner or Friemdan cabs? What about the Butterslax cab?

Tighter / Darker / More Punchy / wider more 3D.

not compared to the butters lax cab because that thing is just on another level of stoner power.
Interesting. I find my übercab to be quite tight as is. Do you think the wizard cab is voiced dark to balance out the inherent brightness of the wizard heads?

That's a hard one. They all have a specific character that's great. If had to keep one, probably my BE100. It is probably the most versatile and I love the fact Dave can mod it to do whatever I like. The Wizard is super huge sounding and punchy, the SLO has a super articulate OD channel, I could go on but you get the idea...

Yeah, it's just the pic that makes it look funny. It's standard size.

I'd love to try those J75 scumbacks... they sound outstanding in clips.

I have both...Friedman and Wizard are identical size. Made by the same people.

If they are identical size and made by the same people, what makes the Wizard cab so much better?

I guess cause it's new. ;)

For me and my cabs, the speaker combos make them a little different, but they all sound great. Since speaker combos are greenback/v30, m75/v30 and j75/v30, they are pretty similar sounding.
