New Cab Day - Wizard 4x12

How would you guys compare the sound of the wizard cabs to the Bogner or Friemdan cabs? What about the Butterslax cab?

Tighter / Darker / More Punchy / wider more 3D.

not compared to the butters lax cab because that thing is just on another level of stoner power.

There is also (2) different Butterslax Friedman cabs: a 4x12 with v30/greenback, and then the big dog 2x12/2x15 - huge and tight, punchiest cab I've ever heard!

I have both a wizard 4x12 can and a 2x12. The 2x12 design has the speakers angled outwards from each other. Really cool design and gives a nice wide spread to the sound instead of the tradition laser beam of most regular 2x12's

Even though two cabs are made by the same place, they can be made differently. Basically, the manufacturer specs the cab how they want it and it's built that way. The type of wood, thickness, baffle type etc...

I believe Wizard and Friedman cabs are made at the same factory. They are definitely not built the same though.

Don't you have a newer German built Diezel front loaded 412 Reza? If that's correct than I call BLASPHEMY! Everyone knows the Diezel FL412 german cabs own it.

Mine has 70's g12m 25w blackbacks and g12h30 in x pattern. And yeah, they weigh a ton.

Wow you certainly know a lot about tone, To me.. Rola g12m 25w blackbacks and and Rola g12h30"55hz Black Backs from 1976 are the best
Speakers from Celestion "Rola" era.

The wizard cabs are made on a. Different production line with different woods and different tooling.
None of the other cabs coming out of B.A.D are built like the wizards.

I think I'm gonna get one of the new German FL v30 cabs in the future.

They are the best cabs I've ever played through. My favorite one has an X of Mesa V30's and K100's. I prefer it over my FL Uberkab too. I've never had a Wizard or Friedman cab because those brands are not my thing but I'm sure they are great.
