I'm not a lawyer and obviously don't know the specifics of the agreement but based on what I have read, I don't think Mark Cameron has a leg to stand on in terms of having a right to the company name. Secondly, trying to hash out an agreement on a public guitar forum is a really bad idea and demonstrates a lack of basic understanding of how a negotiation should be handled.

If the agreement is still valid, then Brad and Tone Merchants are required to provide 14 CCV's, 14 refunds of $3,000 each or perhaps some type of subsitute amp. It's page 3, paragraph 14 and 15 of the agreement.

I'll take the $3,000.

Whats amazing to me is how much bad blood there is over $42,000. There are like 982 MEN involved in this steaming pile, and they won't fork over $42,000 to clear up the name? Seems dumb. Would be almost the best advertising in the history of business. Probably too late now.....

I don't care how good his amps sound, the guy is a proven crook. You must be insane to give that guy any money
Mark will not be handling any of the money end. Only overseeing the building of amps and designs. A trustworthy, 100% standup guy will be handling the money end of the business. In my experience, and many others, he can be trusted with 3K Gift pay and one need not worry one bit. I have seen it first hand numerous times.

No gift pays please, I would not expect anyone to do that.

Anyways I can"t speak on the legal end of things, I think that's between Mark, Rob and Brad. I hope it all comes to a amicable agreement in the end and everyone can move on.

ive reached out to EXPcustom (jason) many times and each time he has stated he would have his attorney draw something up. As of this date, I have received no offer. Jason, you are the managing partner in this cameron endeavor your trying to do with Mark, correct?

Hi Rob,

I assumed you got our response but since I did not receive a response I assumed you did not care much for our offer but I cant seem to find it in the outbox.

Pretty much what we were proposing is, and dont take this post as a legally binding contract but here is the gist of it:

Mark and I will assume liability in repaying the 14 owed CCVs since that was never resolved as per the original agreement.

Mark and I will assume any warranty work on the CCVs that were made by Barrang and by the way we have repaired and restored a few at no charge.

Mark will waive his rights to commisions/royalties to the Atomica, Old Bitch and CCV mkII but they are to be made under a name of your choosing other than "Cameron Amps" you guys can make them under Friedman or King Amps or whatever you want. They are great amps and there is demand for them. Mark has no problem with you guys using his designs and moving forward with these brands in exchange for allowing us to move forward.

We do intend to pay back the people owed amps and will do it under a different brand name if we have to but I hope we all can come to agreement so Mark can continue using the Cameron name.

Thanks,
Jason
Posting Business propositions on a public forum is un-professional and assnine,
What are you like 19 ?

There is not enough popcorn in the world to satisfy the readers of this thread :D

I think Jason's reason for posting his offer to Brad and Co. is so things will be transparent since previous dealings with either Brad and Co., or with Mark personally, or Mark/Jerry did not turn out good. Normally I would agree that posting business propositions on a public forum is not a good idea but I think there is too much distrust in previous dealings with the Cameron brand (all incarnations) that things need to be as public and as transparent as possible for now.

Mark's issues predate Rig-Talk. If I remember correctly, Mark still owes some people their amps from 2005ish. I was on the verge of sending him my JCM900 in 2005 when I first started to hear murmers of people not getting their amps back after a year of waiting. After they had paid in full for their mods. I think that Mark's amps and mods soung great. However, there is simply too much risk involved with trying to purchase anything his name is associated with. Just my humble opinion.

 I have "air bags" deployed all around me lol... ;)

Sounds like the right direction.

What additional time will be needed to clear up the 14?
