If he was going to receive a jail sentence then he would still be in jail after the initial arrest while he awaits the courts disposition in this case. The fact that he received a bond is because he was not seen as a flight risk and more importantly, he has no priors.
My guess is that the charges will be pled down and he will receive felony probation to be served back in the state in which he resides. Not sure if California is a sentencing guidelines state or not but you have to have a certain amount of felony priors resulting in a specified point system, once you reach a max number of points only then the judge has the discretion to sentence prison!
My guess is a plea agreement and probation... His business will not be affected.
