Business plan rev. 7.3....gone bad.
Whatever the actual number is of people owed amps, I think most can realize that it will take some capital to build those amps. The only way to fund that kitty is to sell amps. The last business venture with Mark and Jason went off course when one party wanted to outsource the assembly and the other wanted to keep them in house. The business plan went from turning out 10 amps per month, to maybe two. That is not going to be significant enough to pay rent with profits for one, much less two. I don't know all the details as it isn't my business, or anyone else for that matter. But, from what I know, the ones that were owed were to be made whole by delivering one (1) owed amp per every 6 made. Hence, the first set of 6 that were being done. Me, being Mr. Nice Guy, though wanting no part of any business venture (although I was offered), I did fund the kitty to help them buy components for those first 6 amps and in return I would get one of them. This would put money in the cigar box for them to be able to get on their feet and start the process of build/sell/profit/payback. In all honesty, I never expected to see an amp or see my money returned and I could have lived with that. It's no different than going to the casino. Fast forward to last month when they split the sheets. Jason had to bail because the business plan changed and there was no way for him to survive with Mark making a couple of amps a month in the shop. Mark wanted me to have the first one because I helped them out. So, I payed the balance and the amp appeared.
My main intention for showing the amp here, even though I new that the shit stains would come out and post their usual dribble - was to show some people that Mark was back to making his original amps and that the potential is there for more to be produced and maybe the guys that are owed an amp or lost a deposit, could eventually be made whole. Looking through the posts here, there are only three guys I know here that are owed amps and short of me giving them my amp, I don't know what to say. But, I do know there are 4 more from this batch to be assembled. Possibly if Mark can sell 5, he could afford to give the 6th one to a person owed.
Yes, it is a never ending saga but Mark has always done right by me. He didn't set out years ago to fuck anyone over but what is done, is done. But mainly, I was intending to show there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. It might be a fucking train, but it may not be. Mark just needs to be in the right environment to do his thing. And, I will say this, these amps Mark is turning out are even better than the originals to me. But, don't shoot the messenger here. A little late for that, but it did give me a chance to refresh the cunt list of people here that have no business even offering an opinion when they don't even know the score.
So, now you know the rest of the story.
