An amp designer friend for a popular boutique company said they did a shootout with a Creamback, a G1265 RI and a Greenback and the Creamback was far better than either of the others,

That's what I get for multitasking.... :(

Yep, it happens. At least you don't have to reconcile old credit card charges that were duplicated and overcharged for your attorney going back 7 years. Let me know if you want to help with that...I'll fly you out here! :D

I can be your accountant/intern

Hey Richedie let's put our differences aside on the creambacks.. I was very interested in the lynchbacks for the longest time but have not pulled the trigger yet. What are you not liking about them? Something in the lows or mids? Pesonally from what I have been reading, I think i might try the WGS retro 30. I have heard some really good sound clips. Like the bite and fullness compared to V30's or veteran 30's. (at least that is what my ear tells me, would need to play them in person to tell). I have an old G12-65 that came with my JCM800 combo. I liked it but felt it a bit flat in the highs. Maybe too smooth. that said, it has been pounded since 1982 and looked a little rough. Dare I say Creamback? lol

Sure thing!

I actually started liking the Lynchbacks a lot more lately. Sorry if I sometimes seem moody or indecisive, etc. I suffer form a blood disorder for which I take pain meds and they make me a bit wacky at times.... :(

I find Lynchbacks to be warmer, smoother and thicker, more dense than any Greenbacks, darker. I decided to go for Lynchbacks, mixing speakers stresses me out....although right now I have two Lynchbacks and two G12M Chinese 25 watt Greenbacks and it is a nice mix. I prefer the Chinese over the Heritage Greens. They are warmer and lows are tight.

If they fail to work with all my amps, and especially after I get a Splawn, I may go to the Creambacks.

Check this out! Compare these clips.

i did a video with them last week
Yep. Saw it. And a mega thanks for that Bro!! The vid AND the description was super helpful...

Talked to the dude from Celestion at SEGAS. I picked up the cream-back and it looked better built than the g1265. He told me to give him a call with any questions. He told me the voicing is a high powered vintage greenback sound. The high end was more green back but the low end was more v30. Sounds like a great speaker.

HUH? I thought you were looking to sell the Lynchbacks?.......

Not that that in and of itself would suggest they're not great speakers....

I had a few pm's with Richedie, I think he settled on Lynchback/RI greenbacks with Splawn small blocks being similar and close enough to creambacks. I think that sums it up. I know i complained about a weber costing me 176$ customs and shipping in but i have really grown fond of this speaker and wish i had taken advantage of the 2 for 1 sale a few months ago! Would love to stick two in with some greenbacks I have. (30 oz 65 watt ones)
