That's what I get for multitasking.... :(

Yep, it happens. At least you don't have to reconcile old credit card charges that were duplicated and overcharged for your attorney going back 7 years. Let me know if you want to help with that...I'll fly you out here! :D

The one thing I really like about trying celestions, is the resale value if I don't like them. The same can't be said for WGS or other speakers that are similar. Does anyone know what the price point will be on these?

Good point but you can buy used WGS and used Scumbacks and retain value if you sell. :) :)

They aren't supposed to be released till summer so no price is listed yet!

Apparently the new Creamback is made in China and price should be about $125 when they are released but nobody is selling them yet since they are not out yet. :(

I think I am still going for Jim's M75 small cap, 65 watt and J75 small cap, 65 watt for my Stone Age 212C. I was going to do the Creambacks but I am not waiting till the summer, plus I really like Jim and his customer service and the research he has into his speakers, not to mention reputation. When I tried Scums before I was into heavier stuff.
I have really gotten out of the heavies and more into vintage tones with some heavy 90s tones thrown in for good measure.

My cover band is a 90s cover band called Pearl Garden so we do lots of 90s grunge and 90s music from the entire decade, PJ to Alize to Green Day to Soundgarden to Rage to Tool to STP to Foo Fighter, etc. With that in mind and with me using warm, darker amps...I think an M75/J75 will work. The H75 was way too bright for my tastes. My Bogner has V30s and they are staying! Port City is getting WGS Retro30/ET65.

Has there been any word on when these Creambacks are going to be available in North America?

I was told the 8 ohm models are en route....16 ohm still a bit out (OCT, I believe) for shipping.

I am waiting for Avatar to get them and will let you guys know when I have em......I wasn't able to get them early as hoped.

I assume you're getting the 8 ohm model, based on Johns reply? I need the 16 ohm version!

Why do you need 16 ohm? Only reason I am getting 8 ohm is cause my Lynchbacks are 8 ohms.

I want to run them in parallel in a 2x12" cab for a total load of 8 ohms.

I already have a similar 2x12" cab that has a load of 8 ohms.

This way, I will be able to run the two 2x12 cabs together, by either:
a.) plugging the two speaker cables into the two 4 ohm speaker outputs on the back of one of my heads; or
b.) by running two heads. Each head would have one speaker cable coming out of one of its 8 ohm speaker outputs, running to one of the 2x12" cabs.

PM me if you're confused.

New Celestion G12M-65 Creamback

I once creamed on the back of his 65yo woman named Celeste when I was in grade-12, but I don't see how that could possibly be related.

Sorry.
Dude, you could have been up for attempted murder or at least manslaughter with that scene.....

Maybe I'm late to the party, but this is the first time I've seen these. What makes them different from the Heritage G12-65's ?

I'm assuming they are made in China and are at a lower pricepoint than the "Heritage" line. But what about tonal differences

The Celestion dude over at TGP said they are UK made. I thought the T-75s were supposed to be high powered greenbacks? I guess these must be even "greenbackier"

FWIW, I am super interested in these. Seems like C's answer to the pre-rola wants and needs of cats and also taking more power handling. But I really wanna know how these sound, compare and feel.

I am so sick of this thing not being released in America; Europe has had it for a while! Ugh. Probably don't even need it, the WGS Invader is the best high powered or any Greeenback type speaker I have ever played, what a great speaker! I just pulled my Invaders out of the closet and threw them into my Splawn 412 with two WGS ET65 speakers, and they sound frickin KILLER! Very smooth, great clarity and punch.

Really? You are all over the place with this speaker thing. If you are serious, I have to disagree. The Invaders are the worst of the GB variants I have tried.

Nah, I think they kick ass. My buddy Jaded Faith has his own amp company and has a great ear and agrees, the Invaders are top of the heap for Greenback style! I still want to buy some Creambacks. Maybe I will go to England and buy some. LOL. :)

I had some fun today. Another killer blend is the Lynchback and WGS ET65!

+1, These creambacks haven't even come out here and i am sick of hearing about them. I too find you all over the place with this speaker thing. Look, it is simple. V30 type + Greenback type = a good tone. So higher power greenies anywhere from invaders to lynchbacks will probably sound good with v30's... or each other. You like speakers in the same "family" tone wise and you probably have enough cabs to satify most tastes. I say abandon the creamback idea and go find some old eminence super V's!

So don't listen if you are sick of hearing about the Creambacks. I could care less what you think. I love the Creambacks. I have played them many times and compared notes with Scott Splawn on them, nice, nice speakers. A friend of mine has the CBs. More mids than the Lynchbacks and better highs and lows. The Lynchbacks have been the most dissapointing speakers thus far. I liked them initially but after playing my V30s and G12K-100s again, there is no comparison.

Hey Richedie let's put our differences aside on the creambacks.. I was very interested in the lynchbacks for the longest time but have not pulled the trigger yet. What are you not liking about them? Something in the lows or mids? Pesonally from what I have been reading, I think i might try the WGS retro 30. I have heard some really good sound clips. Like the bite and fullness compared to V30's or veteran 30's. (at least that is what my ear tells me, would need to play them in person to tell). I have an old G12-65 that came with my JCM800 combo. I liked it but felt it a bit flat in the highs. Maybe too smooth. that said, it has been pounded since 1982 and looked a little rough. Dare I say Creamback? lol
