Agreed, at this point I don't even care if the production is sub par, I just want some freaking rock and Nuno slaying.
 
I love the little homage to EVH in the second video with the harmonics.

The song is great -- the lyrics stink

Nuno's tone is darker this go around

Got' Dam he can play. I understand some of the feedback that the songs aren't quite as infectious or hook laden as some of the earlier stuff. But I also know that - at least for me anyway - that has a lot to do with just listening to the album a few times to sort of 'program' my brain to anticipate certain hooks and punches in the songs. Nuno just has such good tone and such depressingly clear, articulate technique. So glad these guys are putting stuff like this out there.

Banshee is kinda a Slither by Velvet Revolver ripoff....Gary looks like a Flamer...and is kinda doing Weiland moves. Not sure I like it as much as VR.
 
I'd much rather hear the lyrics on this than the first album. Absolute cringey shite. Totally ruins the album. 'Little Girls' ...wtf? 'Play with me' ?
It's a pity because the guitar work sounds cool

I think its a boosted Superlead judging by the video ( if it reflects the setup in studio) i agree it is a bit woofy and i would prefer it tighter and brighter. I'd like to hear a faster song along the lines of Warheads next. Something that REALLY fucks.
 
Great to hear Nuno playing both these solos more-melodically than on the first single, which IMHO was kinda like a disjointed bunch o' parlour tricks.

I wish the rhythms were more interesting. That was what I loved about Eddie. I know, Nuno is his own man and not trying to be Eddie but for a guy that creative I don’t get the rhythms that sound like a guy just discovered drop tuning and grunge.
 
Damn they're good. Top of the top when it comes to talent imho. You might not like Cherone for his antics or may not like his voice, but he's really good at what he does and always gives everything he's got. Even when playing in small clubs - Extreme is always worth the entrance fee. Nuno is Nuno.

Didn't like the gutar tone on both songs, but that's just personal taste. Liked the overall production though and the room in the second vid looks cool - anyone know which studio is that?

Yeah, that's the one thing that is missing. Nuno's more intricate funky rythm playing. The single note rythm stuff. This is more modern yes but sort of puts them in the camp with everyone else doing that. I still like it though
