He sounds like this on any guitar he plays. He even has a PRS Silver Sky and he sounds the same.

Yep. One of my fave players ever, and one of the nicest human beings I've ever met. And yes, knowing him, those pickups are insanely great sounding!
Nope. He plays like that on any guitar he uses. Tonewise, every guitar he plays he does sound different. Same style and same incredible technique, since it's the same player, but tone does differ. He is one of the very best guitar players I've ever seen.

That's a real good sounding set but there are a lot of nice sets out there right now! Always loved the fat 50's, the 60 strat set, the 69 set. I had a factory set in my white woodstock strat that I thought sounded killer. Probably my all time favorites were the Klein Epic 56's. I'll PM you something....

what i haven’t heard conveyed in any of his clips or records is how good his live tone sounds.
first time i saw him open for paul gilbert at the viper room, his tone (think he had a Fuchs, a super, and cougar he was blending) and playing was killer ala young fiery SRV/Gary Moore.

His tone is insane. No idea how he keeps that big punchy clean lowend while using quite a bit if gain. His playing is a little spastic tho. Reminds on me of SRV on coke, but if you added much more coke.. lol
