Finally got around to get some of this stuff out and tested. I am not a huge pedal junky, but I am OCD as fuck about them sounding good, quiet, no hiss and hum. New on the lonely pedal board are:

A used Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay. By far the best echo/delay pedal for high gain that I have come across. Period. End of that story. This is one of the handwired, non-PCB versions. Running through the parallel loop in the Diezel.

Another new one is the reissued Klon KTR. I have never had the real one, but this is one hell of a nice OD pedal for boosting solo's or adding a bit of grind to your clean game. These are already hard to come by and assholes are scalping left and right on eBay. Found one at MSRP in an online store and scooped it up. I like it. It stays. These new ones have a TBP select, or you can run it without like an original. Dime it for boost, no noise. It stays. Velcro on.

The last new toy is supposedly the only smokey chrome Dunlop Cantrell Wah produced. Has a spare bottom plate, hand-signed by JC himself. I don't know if there are any differences in the pedal itself, but since its introduction, the JC wah has been my favorite as you can control the sweep.

Next, and I have had this a year probably and never opened it up. Glad I did. The "Redeemer" from Creation Audio Labs. Put this bad boy in the signal chain and clean up all the suck/muck and crud from cable signal degradation. I guess it is there take on an active buffer. Certainly a noticeable difference. Probably one of the cheapest things you can do to clean up your act.

Here........pics.

Very nice Steve.

That Cantrell Wah is cool. Simple board. The one doesn't get lost finding its way to the amp...

I agree on the Klon KTR. I got one a few months back and it's a keeper

Only 3 knobs, perfect. I'll keep that one in mind when I'm delay shopping. Currently borrowing a friends TC flashback pedal and while its ok, it gets in the way too much of the dry signal, no matter the mix knob settings.

Best delay I have owned, and as you say....simple. I leave it on all the time in the FX loop just to widen things up a bit. It hits just right and is a few steps above the Carbon Copy.

Pedaltrain Jr is the way to go! Simple and only allows you enough room for what you need.

...been wanting a Cantrell wah for a while as well. Funny thing is after a few months, I finally realized it said "ALICE" on the top. I kept thinking "Cali" -something or other. I was never good at scrabble either!

About the mad professor deep blue; also my favorite delay of all time.

To approximate with your axe fx, use a delay block set the high pass filter for approximately 300 hz, and set the low pass for approximately 3.2 kHz . Te other parameters to taste, it's really not the analog chips or ppt mojo it's the filtering on the repeats that makes the analog delays desirable.

Sold my deep blue after scoping it and realizing I could mod ANY delay to sound like this, then came the axe and the digital modding lmao.

That redeemer in-line seems pretty awesome. My stock insert loop on my jcm800 combo doesn't seem to like anything but a 6" jumper. I'm going to try one of these. I tried the VHT Valvulator, but it just colored the tone even more... The roll-off and signal loss is crazy! I called Creation Audio Labs today and they were super great about taking a few minutes to troubleshoot some ideas... Nice folks.

I thought you were using the RJM Gizmo's for your pedals   oops :student: Nice pedal board :D

See your TL in the background, mine will be here Wednesday

It's a collectors deal dude. I assume that's not frowned upon.

Thanks. I put the Jerry signed base plate in the safe with the COA's.... :D Not sure if the Dunlop custom shop did anything different to it, other than the chrome exterior, but it sure sounds nice. I need to get the bronze one on the board and compare them.

Yeah, simple board and signal path......guitar -> tuner -> wah -> Klon KTR -> gate (just to control the feedback in the cave when I turn things up to stun) -> Amp. The Deep Blue Delay is running direct to the loop. I am using the GCX right now for channel switching and loop control while waiting on Peter to send me the new 7 button foot controller they have coming out.

Very cool. Love the standard Cantrell wah. Just recently picked up a sweet modded crybaby which is like a Cantrell/EVH hybrid.
Never used that delay but as a delay whore, I'm intrigued. I use a Carbon Copy in the loop and a El Cap up front. Been trying to plan a board for some time now but I can never settle on anything. I think I have some mental issues because I keep trading and buying new pedals and somehow trying to fit them all into a logical board plan. I'm like Richedie, but with effects.

Dibs on the Cantrell sig;)

Nah, maybe 15 years ago. I am however a Cantrell fanboi for life. Hit me up if you change your mind. I have sweet drumstick signed/used by Scott Philips of Creed Alter Bridge fame that I'll trade ya.
