Finally got around to get some of this stuff out and tested. I am not a huge pedal junky, but I am OCD as fuck about them sounding good, quiet, no hiss and hum. New on the lonely pedal board are:
A used Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay. By far the best echo/delay pedal for high gain that I have come across. Period. End of that story. This is one of the handwired, non-PCB versions. Running through the parallel loop in the Diezel.
Another new one is the reissued Klon KTR. I have never had the real one, but this is one hell of a nice OD pedal for boosting solo's or adding a bit of grind to your clean game. These are already hard to come by and assholes are scalping left and right on eBay. Found one at MSRP in an online store and scooped it up. I like it. It stays. These new ones have a TBP select, or you can run it without like an original. Dime it for boost, no noise. It stays. Velcro on.
The last new toy is supposedly the only smokey chrome Dunlop Cantrell Wah produced. Has a spare bottom plate, hand-signed by JC himself. I don't know if there are any differences in the pedal itself, but since its introduction, the JC wah has been my favorite as you can control the sweep.
Next, and I have had this a year probably and never opened it up. Glad I did. The "Redeemer" from Creation Audio Labs. Put this bad boy in the signal chain and clean up all the suck/muck and crud from cable signal degradation. I guess it is there take on an active buffer. Certainly a noticeable difference. Probably one of the cheapest things you can do to clean up your act.
