Nice. Could be used for build pedals and amps too. I wonder how much will cost one, and if affect the tone.

Planet waves used to make a gold plated jack like this that came with a shielding adaptor that shielded the whole jack area.

what was it called?

I hope this takes off like crazy.

I have a guitar signed by Dave...lol. A nice Washburn Southern Cross.

This aside, i really like the concept, i will try these for sure. Better contact, better connection, better tone and a stronger hold on the jack tip, harder to yank out.

Good stuff.

Mike Fortin is going to start using them on his amps

Looks like it's the same concept as multi-prong spark plugs. Nothing more than a marketing gimmick I think. I'm inclined to think that if the problem it is addressing was as great of a concern as it's made out to be - surely it would have been solved long ago. But what do I know; maybe I just haven't abused my gear enough in the last 17 years of playing to have those issues...

Don't get me wrong, less than $4 for the jack, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to use them as it does look like it creates a more 'physically' stable connection if nothing else, but it's going to change your tone just as much as the dye color choice on your grillcloth.

Yeah, I doubt it will change your tone any more than going to a different make of regular jack would, but the mechanical advantages might be worth looking into.

Only thing this will help is eliminate the wiggling when the jack gets worn which causes intermittent connections. Which is nice.

I use a stereo jack with both channels soldered hot = better contact

Looks cool. I'll use it provided they aren't going to try and charge $10+ for it. lol

Linsk has come a long way. I remember him as a major VH tone freak back in the late 80's/early 90's. Loved purple tolexed Marshall Plexis.

$4 Dave.

You mean to tell me that since the 59 Les Paul they've been doing it wrong ?

To be honest, cool design but i doubt it makes a huge difference.

Wrong no, worse yes. I've had shorting hacks onstage this second redundancy seems worth it. I don't believe the tone claim.

So tone isn't really in the fingers? It is now in the input jack? Got it! ;)

I like the design idea and will try it out along with the Warmoth design (which I think is probably a better product).
