Great sounding amp! Cool playing as well.
Well, in fairness to George, I specifically asked him to play something "Lynch-like" for this clip and I'd say he came through... He is adept at a lot of different styles and he's working on some other clips for me that will show that and different capabilities of the Cherry Bomb...Shawn Lutz":ptvjbjwe said:amp sounds awesome but your buddy needs to brush up on his playing and try to get a unique playing style instead of ripping off all of George Lynch stuff![]()

The player and writer on this clip IS my friend George, however, while Mr. Lynch DID play my original PlexRod prototype, this guy's last name is NOT Lynch. His name is George Alayon and he actually posts here under the moniker eljodon. Some of you guys might remember the incredible clips he did of his cover band playing "Highway Star" and also the short pieces he writes for television.
Anyway, George is doing several more clips for me in different styles (most of which will be reamped from existing things he's done) and I asked him to write something "Lynch-like" for the folks that dig that style and he was like, "Sure man! I can do that!" George has a really uncanny ability to capture the essence of a particular player/style and when I heard this finished clip, I decided to post it and let the playing/writing stand for itself and see how people would react... Obviously, based on the feedback here, he did an incredible job.
And yes... I did have a bit of fun with the fact that his first name is George... but as you can clearly see, I never confirmed that it was Lynch![]()

Glad he found that switch to turn that damn phaser off...![]()

Signal chain please? Do you know the amp settings offhand, in particular the gain level? I've been trying to get a sense as to how much gain is available on the ROD channel but the clips to-date haven't given me much to go on.
Great playing too.. I really hear a lot of Lynch influence in there, which I hope is taken as a compliment![]()

LOL!! I did have this pretty strong feeling that it was Lynch. One of my favorite players by far as well.
I revealed awhile back that it was, in fact, another guy named George... not Lynch... release date for the Head Hunter intact!Kapo_Polenton":365d6a12 said:MichaelG":365d6a12 said:sah5150":365d6a12 said:I'm sure my friend George would take it as a compliment.MichaelG":365d6a12 said:WOW! Had some Lynch elements in there for sure but also a few licks that made me think maybe it wasn't?? If it was, good for him, sounding a bit diff and smoother. Don't get him hooked on these amps though, that Randall Head Hunter will never get finished at this rate!
