I can read what the Bible says. Does your orthodoxy preclude that? You're no authority to say otherwise.

Yes. The apostles wrote the New Testament you are talking about, which should make chronological sense to you.I can read what the Bible says. Does your orthodoxy preclude that?
So that part was verbal? ?Yes. The apostles wrote the New Testament you are talking about, which should make chronological sense to you.
You're not making any sense. So that part was verbal? ?
You’re suggesting that the apostles that wrote the NT said you can’t read it yourself, and I’m pointing out that they didn’t put that in the NT. Why not? You're not making any sense.
I can read it for myself but I don't get to make up my own interpretation. You have a western protestant understanding of things I don't care to entertain especially when you would just as well tear down my faith if you thought you could. You’re suggesting that the apostles that wrote the NT, said you can’t read it yourself, and I’m pointing out that they didn’t put that in the Bible. I have what I’d argue is a logical understanding. There is a reason why written contracts are stronger than verbal. I hate to say it, but if someone is telling you that what you can read with your own eyes is not what you think it is, they’re fuxking with you. And while it might surprise you, I’m actually not particularly anti-Christian in this era. It provides many a community, inspiration and comfort, and also a counter-balance to other more harmful ideological zealotry, like progressivism.I can read it for myself but I don't get to make up my own interpretation. You're an admitted luciferian. You have no valuable feedback or discussion to offer on the subject of orthodoxy, by your own admissions. And you don't know what you're talking about on top iof that.I have what I’d argue is a logical understanding. There is a reason why written contracts are stronger than verbal. We aren't orthodox for the community, inspiration, comfort, or reasonable counter balances. Those are worldly things. And while it might surprise you, I’m actually not particularly anti-Christian in this era. Thats just ad-hominem. Show me how I’m wrong. You're an admitted luciferian. You have no valuable feedback or discussion to offer on the subject of orthodoxy, by your own admissions. And you don't know what you're talking about on top iof that.
I already did but it wasn't good enough for you.Thats just ad-hominem. Point out where I’m wrong.
Once you start seeking Christ in earnest, look out. Add orthodoxy and it's an all out spiritual war. I found the catechumen phase to be extremely difficult especially as I approached the time for baptism.Got in an argument with a buddy last night. He is a hateful atheist. I mean hateful. I finally checked him on it because it was pure disrespect to me. I won’t go into details but I basically said that atheism was his religion. And he was a raging zealot. Be an atheist…I don’t care…but don’t attack me because I’m not. He talks shit about all religions but Christianity is his primary target.
And I responded—that’s when you went ad-hom.I already did but it wasn't good enough for you
There's nothing to discuss with you. You won't convince me of anything. I'm baptized. I will die orthodox. I have no interest in your error filled understanding of orthodoxy. It won't be productive for us. Let it go.And I responded, that’s when you went ad-hom.
It can get real intense, to me this was the evidence of it being genuine. As I approached baptism I just wanted to get in my truck and drive away and never come back. An unseen pressure or force that was very powerful was exerted on me that is difficult to describe. It's intimidating, and the demons work overtime on a catechumen. I just stuck it out and the baptism brought major relief to me. Many times now I've been intimidated by holy communion but confessing and seeing it through brought the same sort of relief. I feel like I"m just scratching the surface but worldly things often restrain our greater pursuit of the things of God. I have a wife and kids and work that take up a lot of time. It's hard. It's the narrow road.I agree…once you start taking those steps the game intensifies. I’m in a backsliding phase and shame on me for it.
You didn’t respond to my follow up point, pointing out the unlikely oversight that the apostles failed to put into writing that only the priesthood can interpret the Bible, or that their authority supersedes or compliments the biblical authority.I already did but it wasn't good enough for you.
If Jesus appeared to you and told you the orthodox priests were wrong you’d keep on truckin’ eh? Perhaps we’re more alike than not ?There's nothing to discuss with you. You won't convince me of anything. I'm baptized. I will die orthodox. I have no interest in your error filled understanding of orthodoxy. It won't be productive for us. Let it go.
Tell me where/how I’m wrong!!!I have no interest in your error filled understanding of orthodoxy.
If Jesus appeared to me that would be phenomena and the orthodox people do not trust or believe in phenomena. Signs, apparitions, etc are generally thought of as demonic unless it met certain qualifications. See how off base you are with your perceptions? If Jesus appeared to you and told you the orthodox priests were wrong you’d keep on truckin’ eh? Perhaps we’re more alike than not ?
Dunno, it worked for Paul.If Jesus appeared to me that would be phenomena and the orthodox people do not trust or believe in phenomena. Signs, apparitions, etc are generally thought of as demonic unless it met certain qualifications. See how off base you are with your perceptions?
