Mentioned this in another thread, but I ordered the new MOD Electronics Spring Reverb Pedal kit, the "Vortex." It arrived today. Won't have time to build it for a while, but looks pretty slick. The faceplate for the pedal looks like it's actually a PCB with custom silk-screen and gold (tinned?) contacts. I like it, neat trick. They say that it's compatible with other electrically identical tanks, so I should be able to get one of the big ones if I really wanted the drippy tones.

I have both versions of their Plasma Pedal and love them both. They're raw, chaotic, thick, and meaty as hell. The lowend is obscene. They don't "chug" on their own, but with a good boost in front it chugs like a motherfucker. They also love low tunings. Tuned between C-A standard the huge gnarly Doom tones are absolutely sick.

The OG is not quite as crazy over the top nasty as the Third Man version, but compared to most distortion pedals still pretty extreme, and takes boosts better. Even though I never use the blend knob I think it still slightly tames the pedal a hair. The Third Man version doesn't have a blend, and also has multiple octave options. The octave footswitch can be configured for momentary or normal on off.

The Light Pedal has been the one stomp box consistently on my radar for quite a while, but it's hard to justify the cost with an Ampeg VT22 sitting there and I'll truthfully most likely use the pedal for pretty standard verb tones.

Ahh, yeah that pedal is cool. Briefly considered it, but then I considered the price and that I know for a fact that if I get the MOD kit I'll be able to repair it/keep it going basically forever. Not sure if the Game Changer Audio people take kindly to schematic and board layout requests.

shit ... they're sold out ..... I was going to grab one .... I was thinking designing a PCB to go with theirs for the Ins and Outs ... and most likely getting a enclosure big enough so the Spring unit and the connections could be internal ...

Oh wow, guess it was a good idea I pulled the trigger so quick. If you're planning on a different enclosure and PCB, what use do you have for one of their kits? I guess maybe the schematic, but that's if you weren't planning on your own particular circuit.

Seems like it holds promise although I found the "light reverb" setting too heavily drenched.

I wanted to ask you if the measurement specs on their page were accurate or not? 12.75"x5.5"x4.5" is what they say the packaging dimensions are but they say no measurements are currently available for the product itself. Not sure if that was a typo or something. I just need those dimensions to figure out if this will work with the hard case and stuff I have set up already or if it means jumping to a larger board/case.

Not sure if it's worth it vs a Fender tank. $300+ dollars along with your build fee+shipping probably puts me close to Fender RI tank realm, never mind me needing to source a cab for it. It seems more deep and cavernous, but does sound good. Unit has way more reverb than I'd ever need, and seems like it has more than a classic Fender tank. I've got a few options and plenty of time to consider things. A floor unit like @7704A is doing might be the ticket, or a Spaceman Orion. I seem to have good fortune with the spaceman designs....
