I know Mille is a Jackson guy, but he's playing an ESP in that video.

He jumped ship to ESP a few months ago... playing the Arrow model now... Really killer looking ESP.

I still love my Jacksons though.

Solid song. I wonder if they still use invaders.

I'd love to know what amps they're using. Sounds really Saturated/compressed almost like maybe its a Powerball? I know when Phantom Antichrist came out I read an article where Mille said it was a mix of EVH 5150 III and Engl, but he didn't specify which Engl.

He has an Engl Sig head... a tweaked Fireball 100... So I'd hazard a guess that was on there.

Here's a demo:

I know the Extreme Aggression head came out a few years back. Could be that considering that thing is like a more gained out Fireball.
Seems like a lot of guys, not all, that have signature amps come out don't even wind up playing them though.

It's no Metallica but it's ok.

LOL! Sorry man, had to since we have all been going back and forth about that new album the past few days. :)

Seriously though, cool stuff! I dabble a bit in heavier stuff like that. Reminds me of Testament and Helloween. Melodic but has those great riffs.

Touche

I know I bashed Hardwired pretty hard huh. Like I said to a few other guys in that thread, I truly am glad so many are digging it. Its great when your anticipating an album, and it turns out to be something you like or love.

Yeah man, I'm definitely biased towards the heavy stuff for sure.

This is one of theirs I really dig. The drums still sound real. Just hating the fad of drum replacement in Metal these last several years. Got to see them in a club in Seattle with Napalm Death in early 2000's. Just amazing. Both bands were incredible. Kreator had 5150's and Napalm a Rectifier. Also, seeing two of my favorite drummers, one after the other, was beyond fantastic. Saw Entombed there as well. Also incredible.

I highly recommend Live Kreation, the CD from around 2005/6? Good song selection and kind of nice to hear the older songs sounding a little "bigger".

Nice!!!
I'm really hoping Kreator does a U.S. tour. I would think they would, but if not, its gonna be one hell of expensive trip for the wife and I when we head to Europe to see them

Been a fan since day one and Kreator can do no wrong in my book.
Once again, they prove that they are one of the best true Thrash bands of all time. Haven't lost a thing.

^^^
No they haven't. They're just a class act in my book. Bar none my favorite thrash band; Period

Sounds pretty metal. Can't get past those vocals at all.

Can also see why you don't like the new Metallica.

Yep. I like metal that's more on the abrasive side. I could see how some may not care for Mille's vocals; I think he's got one of the most unique voices in metal. That in conjunction with the distinct guitar tones Kreator has makes for the primary reasons they're one of my favorites.

Preordered. I have the ENGL extreme aggression head(Mille's sig amp). Favorite ENGL I have owned.

Nice   I absolutely love Phantom Antichrist and hope Gods of Violence is either in the same vein or maybe even a sound similar to some of the older stuff. One can hope. I think regardless it should be awesome. Can't wait!

You do have that head, I remember. Have you owned or played the FB100 to compare/contrast the two?

Nah. I have had the powerball, savage, savage se and the Mille. The gate on the mille head is perfect for me. Great mids, and when paired with my Cameron cabs with h30s and the ISP subs...it's insane.

Yes! Really want to see them with Obituary. Stoked for Testament, Sepultura, and Prong too! Opeth and Gojira? Nails and Toxic Holocaust! SO many awesome tours early next year. Wish I didn't have to be an adult and work and just go to shows all the time.

It is indeed all based on personal taste

Just gave a listen to the song "Magma" and I don't know why, but that tune reminds of Voivod. Gave a listen to 3-4 other songs off that album, and while I think they're amazing musicians, its just not my thing. There's just to much repetition going on. I have some of their older stuff, but truthfully, I took it off my ipod because it got on my nerves most of the time.
I love love love Gojira and that new album but I agree with you totally on the repetition thing. The whole album is really just maybe 4 songs worth of good material and the rest just filler and riffs they could've played 800 times less in a row.

Saw them in 2010 maybe? With The Berzerker and Goatwhore. Obituary sounded amazing! Guitar tone was crushing.

Another new song! Not sure this one made the new album, but still sounds pretty sweet!
