yeah Bruce is a MONSTER! I hope these do well.

Amp seems cool. I gotta say, the logo though... LOL!

I'd love to check one out. I know he is pretty well known for his mods. They are top tier priced that's for sure. Never owned any Kruse modded stuff but I have heard quite a few good clips. I will say on all their "Kruse vs. X" amp vids, in the mix I usually preferred the other amp but solo the Kruse sounded solid. The low end on the clips below is REALLY tubby but I blame the person recording for that.

I heard him talking about the amp at Eric’s Guitar Shop. He mentioned that Joe Bonamassa was borrowing one to tryout.

Kruse has some great/innovative features
The Power Scaling is an option I have on 2 of my Kruse moddded amps and it is super impressive
The new Kruse amp also has an overdrive /compression and gain stage dials in addition to the typical FLMHV controls
I'd love to try one

I think he held a logo design contest at Comic Con and a space nerd won.

Meh, sounds good, but nothing special. In all of his "before and after Kruse mod" and "Kruse vs. Amp X" vids, the "before" and "Amp X" tones are always so dark and lifeless, like there's a pillow in front of the cabinet, or they're intentionally set up to sound inferior, thus making his amps/mods sound so alive in comparison. Maybe his amps/mods are really good, but I don't trust these comparison videos at all.

Glad I’m not the only one that thought “looks Bladesy”...

This +1.

I’ve owned several Engl Savage 120s and they sound way better than this... and by looking at the settings no wonder why... both Lead Gain 1 & 2 set to 9:00... and the presence at 11:00... no one sets it up this way. Let’s put the the Gain and Presence pots up to 1-2:00 and try this again. Hence the blanket over the cab sound.

These comparisons seem pretty odd. At least pretend that you tried to make the competition sound good.

Right? I still think the other amps sound better in the comparisons when it comes to the mix. The low end still sounds tubbby on the Kruse as well. I am thinking these were NOT done by Kruse though as it’s a different author on YouTube. Maybe he loaned the amp to someone to do them?

If that’s the case I’d have asked them to be redone! Whoever produced his vid with Bruce should have done them.

I only have the peavey so that is all i can compare but mine sounds way better than this. The choice of settings in the video are not the best.

Also agree on the aesthetics, ugly looking amp IMO BUT it does sound pretty damn awesome and has tons of low end it seems.

I assume the price tag is offensive and I could get so many other amps over this but it does not sound bad to me by any means.

I would like to see a better comparison video.

I have just learned recently to not judge based off youtube videos. I used to make decisions all the time from youtube but shady practices are shady.

All these amps do seem set up dark. But FWIW, he modded a VH4 I owned and it was the best amp I ever heard. Truly made it come alive.

I believe it’s $3499.

I agree on the YouTube thing. Some dudes do legit unbiased stuff. Some dudes make commercials and are paid handsomely for them and their opinions.

The most you can hope for in a comparison is that whatever two or more things are being compared, the playing field is kept level.

I don't think Jens or Bruce deliberately made any of the amps sound a certain way for an unfair comparison. They just invited some friends over and asked a few of them to bring their amp. Kind of a plug and play with some quick adjustments scenario. Both Bruce and Jens are super cool guys and the amp is very badass. They are excited about their accomplishment and eager to share some content.

Sure. Read my comment. My point was that whoever made the vids did this amp a disservice. The excitement of putting the vids out ended up putting out samples that don't show how good it likely sounds. The vid Bruce played on sounded great.

These, for being some of the first ones out in the wild, are not showing it "in it's glory". Dude is well known enough for his mods. I assumed this was a 3rd party that borrowed the Kruse to make the vids so I suppose I wasn't too off in my guess.

I think the amp looks awesome (not a fan of the logo...) and hope it does well for him.
