Pleasantly surprised with this one. I've always liked these guys. I think Art sounds great on the drums here and cool to see Mark playing Gibson guitars.

Always know what to expect with them, but that’s been more of a bummer to me than anything for the last 15 years. I’ll check this one out on some good speakers, I dig Wilbur’s production as he’s one of the few modern metal producers that’s not just rehashing the Sneap mixes from the 00’s and he actually puts work into drum sounds instead of slapping samples on everything.

I just wish LoG would shake things up for once, I don’t even care if I don’t like the direction, but it’d be cool to hear a radical departure from the same song they’ve been writing for a while now.

And I hope Mark gets an LP Custom sig, though that Standard is looking pretty sweet. I just like blocks n ebony more.

Lamb of God has always been funny to me. They have some great riffs and songs, but then they have riffs like the opener of this one that are just so bad that i gotta wonder wtf lol. After that the song is ok, 20 years ago i would have been pumped on this, in 2026 though its kinda eh

Their 15 minutes expired years ago. RaceU nailed it.

Chris Alder was the only reason to ever listen to this band
Chris is a bad ass on the skins for sure . I remember him stating he left the band due to it being toxic so you got to wonder if it was a sibling disagreement or what? I guess we will never know.

They sure do get some righteous tones from those Mark IV's though. One of the reasons I bought mine!

Sounds good, but I kind of feel that most of their new songs are just B sides. Albums like As The Palaces Burn, Sacrament and Laid to Rest were awesome. Out of the new songs, I really dug Memento Mori. I think people underestimate how vital Chris Adler was to the band, I'd pick him over Art Cruz anyday. His signature triplets were mindblowing.

I think Chris and Will Adler are estranged now. Last I read Chris was working at Home Depot.

As the palaces burn and ashes of the wake are both incredible albums. They’ve been rehashing worse versions of themselves for a while. I’ve seen them live a dozen times and miss adler behind the kit.

Discovered LoG and Arch Enemy in 2006, they both opened for Megadeth during the Gigantour.

Even 20 years later, LoG still rocks. They have a style of their own, just by their riffs and sound. Mark is a serious guitar player, he deserves a signature LP. Art seems a cool dude, his Drumeo appearance was fun to watch.

Burn the Priest was the best “lamb of god”, wish they’d go back more in that direction
100%, so brutal and raw with elements of prog thrown in. Might be my favorite.

It's easy to be an armchair quarterback, but I really have to wonder what compels a band of this caliber to keep writing the same songs over and over...for decades?

I look beyond the bands even.. it says in the description Epic and Century Media records, these are two major labels, doesent the label or whatever producers step in and say this sounds like a B side from 20 years ago and it’s not good enough, let alone be the first single for a new album?? And if not the label maybe their friends or family or someone??

One of my all time favorite bands! But yeah, recently just kinda been the same thing, just toned down a bit. Wrath is a fucking monster front to back. I liked Sturm und Drang, but anything after that hasn't really grabbed me.

As far as newer bands...Sylosis and Revocation are still crushing it. Hath is pretty fucking killer, too. And I've been digging Fit For an Autopsy and the last few Cattle Decapitation albums.

The lack of amps in the video only adds to the mundane hyper editing that makes me not want to watch it...let alone listen. they used to be a good band though.

The song crushes imo. These guys write killer riffs and hooks and have been doing it for years. When it comes to "writing the same song" for the last 20+ years, it's very much your damned if you and damned if you don't.
