nothing specific other than he used to jam with his dad and uncle on their front porch growing up.

I`m not a religious person, but I agree about rather let kids hear some positive outlook on things, than negatives all the time.
The message is an honest and heartfelt one, but after reading some of the lyrics, I kinda miss....metaphores?
"O God above Your love has opened up my eyes
Now all I see is You all I see is You
O God above Your love has opened up my eyes
Now all I see is You all I see is You
With every breath I breathe I know it's true that"
"In You In You I find my peace
In You In You I find my strength
In You I live and move and breathe
Let everything I say and do
Be founded by my faith in You
I lift up holy hands and sing
Let the praises ring!"
Both are great pop/rock songs, and I can easily see them as "modern hymns", where the audience can sing along. (And if there`s one thing a lot of church audiences can, it`s sing along -in tune!)
I kind of like "deeper" lyrics.. Where you can see there`s been some thinking behind the writing of the lyrics as well. And that they leave room for interpretation, even if the thought behind them are clear (worship)

it seems every fall when the weather starts getting cooler and i'm inside, or traveling more, i always seek out new music.
i really hope van halen enlists the help of templeman and landee for the next one. i don't think they can survive another album of "how many say i"
satch was best with john cuniberti. lynch too, but they also need somebody like an yngwie attitude-dan huff taste in the equation to tell them what is dead lame and why, and also take decent ideas and form them into cool songs.
ps-
i might be rejoining the mojave family soon.....![]()

Mojave...Which one? I'd love to try the Saraceno model.

le peacemaker. the grand daddy of hard rock tone based on what i have heard and played. that amp and the coyote are the two i miss the most of all the amps i've owned. my carol ann OD2r sorta fulfills the coyote thing for me now..it is the eric johnson amp...all three of his tones, from blackfaced clean to dirty dumble rhythms, to violin lead tone, in one amp.
i sorta wanted a plexi 45, due to how glassy bubbly sweet yet tough that thing sounds and how you can do guitar volume clean to mean control with it, and that may be down the road, but i can't pass on the PM for the price.
i also really want the sniderman two rock tone dog badly, but the price i was quoted was 6k and in order to pull that off i have to sell a bunch of gear and still come up with 2-3k.....and my wife wanted to redo the bedroom so that amp's not happening.
i really feel that the peacemaker has the authentic plexi superlead voice and sound i want, with a modern twist in a reliable package. plus i'm having it send to victor and he is going to add a few twists and turns of his own based on new circuits he has developed since designing the PM.

That said, I think he's a really good player as I said previously and I think he writes what would be really solid pop/rock songs if I could get around the Christianity aspect.

would love to get my hands on a Peacemaker but I have a feeling it would kill everyone inside small clubs with the volume on 1. I would have to do a PPIMV or the likes and I'm betting it would still be too loud.
Eris is killing on his new CD. I can't stop listening to it.Rob Tahan":570nfcu2 said:WHAT?? New Eric Gales???!!
