While it's not possible to avoid her completely, i do avoid discussing politics. She's not necessarily "stupid", just the usual emotional female. But she's a boomer so she believes everything on TV, and is too stubborn to ever admit she's wrong.

I wonder how many times I've witnessed it: "but I heard it on tv!" Like it's the gospel.
I have a liberal daughter who wears her beliefs on her sleeve. I gave up changing her mind, so now I just listen and make no comments and she takes the hint...it ain't working. I only see her about once a month, I can tolerate it for that long. Anyone other than family with those beliefs don't get the same treatment.
