I just picked this up. Man, is it terrible. The songs on this aren't even close to being "seconds" off the other Lynch Mob discs. Nothing worth listening to twice. Every song has the same structure and the vocals are annoying. This morning it was a competition between "new lynch mob" and crappy classic rock radio. I found myself reaching for the FM button on the CD player after the first one to two minutes of each song.

Yeah, this is pretty bad...the songs and the hooks just aren't there. It sounds like they wrote this album trying to be current, style-wise. Like they were gearing up for a tour with Buckcherry, Shinedown, etc. Production is sorta like that too. Pretty dry in terms of what you'd expect from a bunch of 80's guys. I don't think the guitar tones are bad for what they are, if you're not expecting 80's Lynch tones. They work well with the sound of the album. If the hooks were there, I wouldn't have much issue with the rest of the stuff. At least the songs would be catchy and make you want to listen more. This just made me say...."Well, maybe the next song will have something?" Nope, nothin' happenin'.

I did maybe 15 sec of all the shorts...none of them caught me at all. Tired, washed up whatever needs to be said.

Format is the same on nearly every song. Open with heavy riff which doesn't have melody, play the same riff with scaled back volume/back in the mix, begin 80's style vocals, return to heavy part, play aimless solo...I was really hoping I would be able to like it or at least force myself to like it. I don't. Like I said before, sounds like material which wasn't good enough for the original releases.

I really want to be stoked for this but I have been let down alot lately by Lynch.

Guess I'll wait and see.

for me..all downhill since Back for the Attack.. except for maybe 3 songs
