New Mesa Boogie Amp: Badlander Rectifier

What I’ve heard so far:

100 watt head: $2399 (same as MW Du

50 watt, 100 watt, rackmount versions available. Combo as well.

EL34s come loaded in power section with a bias switch for 6L6 option.

2 cloned channels with 3 modes each: clean, crunch, crush.

Supposedly voiced for a tighter, more mid forward sound than typical rectifier.

Silicon diodes only, no tube rectifier option.

Serial loop.

Wattage selection 100/50/25 for the 100 watt I believe. 50/25/10 for 50 watt. Not 100% sure on that.

Built in CabClone with ability to load third party IRs. No reverb. No solo button.

A lot of this is just what I’ve read elsewhere, so may be wrong. I do for a fact know that the 100 watt head is $2399 and from the pictures you can see the two cloned channels.

Think that’s it for now. Official release tomorrow I hear?

I figured there would be a Recto 2.0
New voicing at some point to this day a Recto w a boost is one of the most vicious things

couple of bummers the reverb at that price point but i get that it not the recto verb. Another nice to have would be a master volume unless the
Tapers are really even in sweep this could get loud fast

from the photos i am not loving the look that logo vent plate looks freakishly large and the knobs look off
If it a recto should be the chrome knobs or full blackout IMO

again the sound is what matters we will have to wait and sed

A Rectifier without rectifier... weird to keep that name.

The silicone diodes are rectifiers, there’s no tube rectifier option, hence it’s not called a Dual Rectifier.

A single rectifier has zero rectifier tubes.

the original naming convention (dual rectifier meaning two rectifiers - solid state or tube, see the other Mesa dual rectifier amp such as blue angel) kinda went out the window when the triple rectifier came out. Kinda wish they just called the triple the ‘dual rectifier coliseum’.

The Single did not have a rectifier tube. It came out after the Dual Rectifier.

My guess is w 34s stock the crunch will be similar to a TC blue channel
Crush like a recto w a tight switch permanently fixed on

Spotted a Badlander in the wild

i love the size looks to be about the same as a Bogner 3534
But the design is not my personal fave
That plexi front mixed with the diamond plate and huge vented logo
It looks like a line6 duoverb

as i said above shrink the logo black it out use the black metal knobs
Blue or green glow inside chassis like the Blackout mini recto and it would be much more in line with the Recto look

Na not the size of 3534. That’s like 19” or so.

Badlander appears to be same as Triple Crown: about 23”

Everyone is making a big deal over the name ! lol... and if its a rectifier or not. even down to what a dual and triple means..haha! everyone wants to be rite ! everyone is trying to prove they are rite these days. we all know it has a rectifier..lol.. whats important is the sound.....
