Agreed.....actually like Manunkind more now I've seen the vid...the whole song is a throwback anyway...LOL

Same here.....I've said it's the weakest song on the album, but after seeing the video earlier today I'm liking it more.
 
What's with the tribute to Mayhem video? Coolest thing they've done in 28 years.
 
Who would have thought that the video releases would be a la Wiki-Leaks....lol. Cool of them to release the videos though and give a preview of the complete record.
 
Overall I liked the album, obviously some songs stronger than others. I think it has a good blend of their whole career in there. Not bad for 50+ year olds!
 
Are these leaked by the band or unauthorized leaks. If unauthorized how does that happen?
 
Great release! Classic album from them......very pleasantly surprised.
 
Bought the CD today! Man, sounds even better in my car, tearing down the road. They did a great job with the sound quality. Not as dry as Death Magnetic and still has a modern sound to it. Nice tight low end. "Hardwired" is a great way to start the album. I can't imagine how awesome listeners that haven't heard anything from the album yet are going to think of that. :)
 
I've listened to every song front to back several times over, and I can't help but say the only song I like is Spit out the Bone. The rest of the songs just suck ass. Needless to say I won't be buying this album.
 
now that we're dead is my early favorite.
too much groove not enough/any thrash.

So crazy hearing what songs people like/don't like and how across the spectrum it is.

Of course I remember when Load came out and I felt like jumping off a bridge and others liked it. I remember flipping thru the booklet while listening to the CD and seeing Lars and Kirk in fur coats wearing makeup and James looking like someone working at Harley Davidson and thinking "What the hell is going on? This has to be a joke." Over time I've gotten to like a few of the songs though.

The crazy thing is I really liked Reload and most people hate that one with a passion.
 
I love Load and Reload. This album is killer IMO. Love it! So far preferring disk 2 over disk 1 but really love the whole album. Not a song on the album I dislike.

Yeah man. Just not my thing. Death Magnetic, while kind of cold and sterile sounding to some extent, was fast and heavy, which is where my tastes lie. I'm just not into the slow groove thing going on in this new one. The drums on this are pitiful. Lars really sucks :lol: :LOL:

Glad your digging it though :thumbsup: Nothing like having one of the bands you like put out an album that is spot on in regards to your tastes.
 
What a mad autumn this has been so far. Vader - Empire, Meshuggah - Violent Sleep, Testament - Brotherhood, Metallica - Hardwired. Soon Kreator. Amazing.

Fuck me runnin. Some Vader fan I am. Didn't even know they had a release out. Listening now and it seems to consist of the typical brutality that is Vader.
