The Lemmy tribute video is Badass and I already liked Lords of Summer but the new lyrics are great

I read an article with Lars yesterday and he said James never wrote a song directly about someone like that.

They have such a long history with him. Lars was the Motorhead fanclub President back in his youth, they were at his birthday celebrations, had him on stage, etc. etc. Great tribute for someone that influenced them so much.

I am really digging it. A few of these songs had me hooked from the first listen

Yeah. I think some songs are instant "classics" some need a couple of times to fully click... Great record, and there is something for everyone... some early era stuff like spit out the bone, some load/ Reload stuff like Dream No More, and so on... I love it. Great stuff.

But it is a Metallica record, so you will get heavy response all over the place...

Recently listened to death magnetic that is a hard album to listen to shrug

I can't listen to Death Magnetic much either. Some of the songs are ok but the production is horrible and to me most of the songs sound forced. IMO they listened and tried to please Rick Rubin to much instead of doing what they really felt with that album.

I am loving this new album though. Even after a ton of listens it's not tiring and I seem to like it more with every listen.

New one is 10x better than DM. James is on point again, finally! I like the mix and mastering too.

Cool side note - on Am I Savage, I had to listen back a few times to make sure I wasn't hearing Dave Mustaine singing on the pre-chorus! I think James paid a little tribute to 'Deth (and Sabbath) on that one.

Go to about 1:55 in the video. When he sings "sharpened edge touch liquid flame..."

Music and vocals sound a LOT like Megadeth.

They seem to be hot and really into it right now. The new album is killer and live they sound better and more into it than they have for years.

Yup. They should take a cue from Maiden when they tour and play the new album.

Listened to it yesterday in the studio, kind of conflicted. Honestly the only thing I liked was the James' guitar sound and playing. Everything else kind of didn't really do it for me. It's cool though and good see them goin at it. I miss the way he sung on RTL.

I've heard it quite a few times now. And it has grown on me. Great songs!

And the guitar sounds is really good. I hear a lot of wizard in there.
