New Metaltronix M-2000 Tube Amp

I had an XLS-500 which I actually really liked a lot. As I remember, it had great cleans and high gain distortion sounds. Considering I got it for less than $500 it was a great amp for me in high school. Effectively traded a 4501 combo for it and would do it again. I never had the reliability issues a lot of other folks reported, and regretted selling it to buy a JCM800 4210 combo which sounded like absolute ass but I got sold on the branding.

Oh, to be 17 again.

I have a lee Jackson XLA and have been playing it in a metal band for 12 years. The sound and design is great. I did have to change the tube heater plug. It took me 5 years to get the head and both cabs to make a stack. You cant find his M-1000 or XLS or XLA amps or cabs easy, just look for one of them now (let me know if you find one)
I was searching for a M-1000 when I seen Lee was making the M-2000. I started messaging him with many questions. He answered everyone of them. I have ordered the amp and will recieve it in 2 more weeks. It has all the items I am looking for in one amp. As far as the price, yeah its up there but I dont have to question quality (hand built and wired by lee, not mass produced, any quality well known amp builders hand built amps will run $4,000+) and the quality of parts are top knotch and custom design's in the amp is worth every penny to me.

He's out of his freaking mind.
And how many people have heard of, or even remember the name?

Holy shit balls   I mean in the 90's I did love my Ampeg VH-140C til it caught fire in my bedroom at bedroom levels  But I've learned a few things since then... am glad he is making amps again though  THanks DBN for the headsup!

Marketing track sounds good. I must be missing something in the "in the room clip/him playing " sound. Seems like a tough market to jump into at that price and all the boutique amps already making big sounds. I had no idea he was responsible for Under Lock and Key And Invasion of your Privacy guitar tones. Interesting. The spill on the MV is a bit late to the party as someone else mentioned. I'll have to see evidence of quite a few rigtalkers on board before I could even think it's what I want and then I still would be confused lol. Thanks for posting this,!!!!

The pleasure was all mine!

Super interested in one. I've always LOVED the sound of Eat'em and Smile and would hope it sounds close to that modded Marshall.

I know the old M1000 has some issues and actually caught fire sometimes. Does anybody know what the issue with that 1000s was and if it is fixed with the 2000?

Lynch’s Jackson modded Marshall’s were just 1 of 4 or 5 amps used to record ULAK. Wagener talked about this yrs ago on this very forum.

Fook yoo Lee, trying to fool us with your jedi mind trickery lol
