I have an addiction to older MIJ Charvels and own more than I should, but this is a build I just finished. It was an early Model 2 that was a bit tired with the old Kahler that was missing parts. I sanded and repaired the body dings and then plugged the Kahler bridge posts. I then laid out the guitar to accept a Floyd. I had a black OFR from the 80's that was in really good shape and installed all new allen bolts and took the little finish there was on the fine tuners to expose the raw brass. I painted the guitar with a matte black automotive 2 stage paint. I got a newer MIJ neck that is flawless and that feels so nice...rolled edges and quartersawn. I topped it off with a brass knob and a Suhr Aldrich 53mm pickup. Nothing fancy here but I really like the simplicity and it plays and sounds sweet. Thanks for looking.
