Which Marshall amp do you have?

My buddy uses a TC electronics spark booster on all the time, but never plays clean. I do play some clean, so not a fan of leaving a transparent boost on all the time. I loaned him my BYOC tribooster to check out.

I do have a BYOC silver pony Klon Klone, great pedal. Works best as a boost or when you just want a touch of breakup. One of the best just touch of breakup pedals I have found.

I've been eyeing up the Schaffer for a while now...glad to hear your take on it.

Damn you . I've been planning on getting an Archer for awhile now. . . .but now I need to check out the Shaffer too.

Is the Shaffer a boost?

I know SoloDallas put a lot of research and effort into developing the Shaffer Replica. It's an amazing pedal. Angus Young's secret weapon for years supposedly.

Schaffer is a compander with saturation. Not a boost really, there some volume on tap, but it's not a boost. It's weird because it makes everything sound bigger and alive. It takes whatever tone you had, and makes it bigger, wider sounding, and makes single notes (lead lines) just pop.

I'll have to check it out.

FYI, I'm also taking your comments on the Burnley seriously. I've been looking for a distortion pedal that I can use with my Fender Vibrolux Reverb, and hadn't been having much luck. Tried several. Gotta try a Burnely with it now.

Now you have me very interested. Any chance for some clips? The clips on solo Dallas don't really show it with and without.

The Archer is good with a Rectifier.... Very different than the typical Tube Screamer stuff.
