So I have a one-off show at a small festival gathering. It is being turned into celebrate my girlfriend's boss's best friend who passed away unexpectedly last year. Not that that is big deal, but worth considering.

We will be doing the usual 80's/90s rock covers (more 90's based). Its a one time shot, but I'd like something catchy, funny, clever...but not embarassing.

You guys have usually provided some good humor with these things before in the years past, let me know what you got?

Appreciate any ideas....

If it's mostly 90's, not sure exactly what tunes you're playing , but maybe just pick a 90's song name:
Cherub Rock
Monkey Wrench
Wonderwall
etc...

Or
Cosmo Kramer
Y2K Bug
Run Forest Run
Hell, I don't know, maybe go for 'Thunderlips'

For the occasion:
Man In the Box
Dead and Bloated
Still Remains
Meatplow

Just kidding. Ever notice how some STP song titles look like they belong to a death metal band?

Rona Ranger
Trump Toaster
Biden Beater
Vasoline
Beautiful Disaster
Big Bang Baby
Wonderwall Wannabe
Jagged Little Creep
Jiggy Diggity

Since you're doing covers, how about one big amalgamation of 80s/90s band names: Something like...

The Smashing Red Hot Nine Inch Cranberries in Chains N' Roses

Since it's a one-time shot and you want it to be catchy, clever, and funny...... I suggest Wonderwall - Oasis, Basket case - green day, One of us - Joan Osborne.

No-Aces
Spare Change
Visionary Cantaloupes
Stuck in Reverse

Large Marge and the rodents of unusual size

You're welcome.

Abby Normal
Die Gaspumper
There are some who call me Tim

Maybe something that will give folks a laugh with current references:

Captain Tweet and the Tiktoks
Etc

Or something that was big in the 90s like Lewinsky's Dirty Little Dress
Etc.

You really could do so much with the name depending on the crowd.

Or you could do something special and reference the girl that passed away. Like if her name is Laura, something like "Laura's Loud Love Band"
