New Renegade Owner

Ordered a used Renegade head from GC, should arrive on Mon, can't wait :rock:

My main rig for the last few years has been a Rebel 30 head w the TM 212 cab. Love the Rebel, but have always gas'd for the Renegade. I run my lead ch gain around 2:30 with an Xotic EP boost & Majik Box Fuzz Universe in front to add sustain & punch for certain songs. Wondering if these pedals will work well w the Renegade. Think I'll still need them?
 
My EP Boost is on all the time, the Renegade loves it. Clean things up with the guitars volume pot and I use a Rothwell Heartbreaker to kick in a lead boost. I use a Jam Red Muck to get a Gilmour tone. The Renegade's channel 2 is killer and I use the Main 2 volume always on with channel 1. Keep the channel volumes low, the main volume high and the reverb is really sweet. I used to use a TC G-System but I just don't need it. The EP Boost and a delay pedal is really all I need with the Renegade, as you turn the volume up the the EP Boost volume can come down but I leave mine on all the time. We have pretty much the same set up so I know you'll love it.

FREAKING HATE THAT!!!**%!?. Ordered some Phil x Pick ups then ordered some pots and a RS cap to go with them. took the pups less than two weeks to get to me here in the UK, the other stuff turned up a week later and they were coming about 50 miles. Some places just don't care. Amps and Guitars need to go next day, 24 Hours, anything less is garbage and GC are massive aren't they....Hope it turns up today.
 
I've had the amp a few days now & have been able to give it a good work out, love the Renegade!!! Ch 2 has more balls than I thought I would & I've only been able to run it through my 1x12 cab at this point, it will sound even better through my TM212. Love the external bias testing & adjustments, every amp should offer this!
 
Glad you got it Bud. I changed the V4 tube for a less powerful ECC81, this takes some of the aggression out of Ch2 making the amp tone more Rocky and less Metal but still with plenty of balls.
 
Finally got to open up my renegade at band practice & am so happy with this amp! Didn't have to use any boost or OD, great clarity, sustain, depth & balls! Perfect amp for me :thumbsup: Thank you Egnater!!!

Nice gratz man! About the pedalboard the switchbox at the bottom let you turn al pedals on and of ? can you give me some name for that ?

I don't think it turns them on and off so much as it clicks throgh different connection setups. Click one and you have wah and phaser, secone one is distortion and overdrive, etc... I suspect that they are all on all of the time and that the switcher controls the routing of the signal. Voodoo Labs and a few others make something like that.
 
is it a Road Kill, I bought a mini one and haven't built it yet. it's only been a couple of years in a box.

It's a true-bypass loop switcher, each loop brings one of the pedals into your signal path. Meant to keep pedals out of your signal path when not in use. This ones made by loop-master. It's not a midi switcher (each loop turning on multiple combinations), just a simple switcher.
